These SF6 expansion joints for circuit breakers GIS ( gas insulated switchgear) with bellows in ASTM A 316 Ti GRADE stainless steel are having square fixed flanges in stainless steel ASTM A 304 GRADE stainless steel. All construction is in stainless steel. Entire welding is done by (TIG) Argon arc welding by section IX qualified welding process. Flanges are provided with four holes at corners for the provision of four limit rods at the corners. These have been designed for a design pressure of 6 bar(g). Hydro-tested at 9 bar(g). Also there are being tested for CO2 leakage test at 4 bar(g).
These can also withstand vacuum up to 1 mbar. There are no sharp corners and all welds are finished ground. These have been exclusively designed , developed and manufactured by us for a global engineering major and we regularly supply these to many electrical engineering construction companies executing large projects for circuit breakers.
